I laugh at stupid shit and cry at commercials. I will forever be afraid of life.

I would never want to be an actor and be so recognized.  People turn on you if they don’t like what you have to say or if you’re not completely happy to answer all their stupid questions.  Suddenly, you’re ungrateful.  They forget that these actors are people too.  Fans tell them they should have gratitude and the intrusion into their private lives was something they signed up for.  Bullshit.  It is the media that forced the intrusion and people just eat it up and now it seems likes it’s supposed to be a part of the job.  It’s not.  WE should be grateful for whatever they choose to share with us.  I hate the media, as contradicting as that sounds being posted on a social media website, but I know I wouldn’t survive that life.  I know I would grow extremely bitter.
Much appreciation, Mr. Cumberbatch.
One comment on the site is the reason this came about:

"He is a truly brilliant actor but damn he`s a prickly guy, he`s in an incredibly fortunate position and I don`t think a bit of gratitude would hurt."

Their punctuation sucks, too.
[EDIT]
God bless this person’s reply to the above comment:

“He is very grateful and he’s shown it in his attitude to his fans. However, he also comes across as someone who wants to keep his private sphere private and who is sick of having his words misinterpreted and the press have done a damn good job on it in the past few years. He’s got every right to be prickly but he’s not rude. He’ll never be the jovial type of guy who just waffles away and what he says has some weight so the fact that he is defensive is no wonder.
I don’t belong to his hard-core fans but I admire his work and like his interviews a lot - they are a nice change to some big shots who couldn’t spell their own mother’s name.”

[/EDIT]
P.S. - Yeah, probably not wise to interview him when he’s in Sherlock mode.  LOL
